What’s Next? was released on November 13, 2009!

The new CD is finally out. “What's Next?” is a collection of Italian Ballo Liscio tunes, French Bal Musette, some Mariaichi tunes, some tangos, and more. Peter Ostroushko’s “Vola Palumba, Vola” (Fly away, Dove) is undeniably the most beautiful Italian waltz ever written by a Ukrainian mandolinist! He told us we play it “even better” than he does. That's worth checking out! Billy Packard, a great mandolinist, himself, wrote us from Santa Cruz: : “I love the CD. Such a great sound...... I love your style.”

“What's Next?” is the third CD from the Hot Frittatas. Since 2000, we have been creating fresh, lively and sometimes passionate arrangements of Italian tunes (polkas, waltzes, mazurkas, tarantellas, tangos). With the new album, we expand our territory to what we're now calling European cafe: music from Italy, Sicily, Spain and France, and then further west to Mexico and Brazil and Venezuela. Drawing from many traditions and trying to create something new. “What's Next?” Find out.
